Kdrama Review : Two Weeks

This is the first time Tae San has met In Hye. Issh... what a method , Tae San

This time , I want to review a drama whose main character just had a birthday on April 17th .

The Story

Jang Tae San (played by Lee Jun Ki) is a gangster who meets Seo In Hye (played by Park Ha Sun) when Tae San is carrying out his mission, something unexpected happens and makes them both fall in love. Then In Hye gets pregnant.

When Tae San finds out that In Hye is pregnant, at the same time his boss, Moon Il Seok (played by Jo Min Ki) forces Tae San to go to prison in his place . Well, Tae San's dilemma. On the one hand, he wants to get out of the black valley and start a new life with In Hye, on the other hand, the boss threatens to kill In Hye if Tae San doesn't obey .

Finally, Tae San chose to obey his boss . And In Hye was forced to terminate her pregnancy.

So, why is the title Two Weeks ? Well, fast forward to eight years later. The story is, Tae San has become a slightly better person. Working in some kind of small pawn shop . Long story short, In Hye suddenly appeared at Tae San's workplace. All this time, In Hye was looking for Tae San . As soon as they met, In Hye asked Tae San to check his blood .
At first, In Hye didn't tell her the reason, but in the end she admitted, who knows, maybe Tae San would be suitable as a bone marrow donor for Soo Jin (played by Lee Chae Mi), the child they both had whose abortion was canceled by In Hye .
Actually, In Hye doesn't want to ask Tae San for help, especially since In Hye now has a handsome and super kind fiancé, namely Seun Woo (played by Ryu Soo Young). But what else, for Soo Jin's sake, anything will be done.

At first, Tae San was annoyed about it, but in the end he wanted to do a blood test. And the results match. After consulting the doctor and stating that he was willing to be Soo Jin's donor, the doctor scheduled the operation to be carried out on the 26th ( next two weeks) , with the condition that during those two weeks Tae San had to take care of his body condition, don't get hurt because the consequences could be serious. , both for donors and those being donated.

At this hospital, Tae San met Soo Jin for the first time. And Soo Jin just knows that Tae San is her Appa. I thought, wow, it's cool that Soo Jin has an extraordinary inner bond . Uh, it turns out Soo Jin kept an old photo of In Hye-Tae San that In Hye threw away.

So, for two weeks it went fine ? Of course not, do n't you ? When he returned from the hospital, Tae San was trapped (again) by Moon Il Seok. This time the case is quite serious and Tae San doesn't know anything . As a result, Tae San wondered what was behind all this. Why does it have to be him (again)?

Tae San was shocked, when he woke up there was a murder scene in front of him.

So, how is Tae San's journey to fight for himself? Will Tae San finally know who and what is behind all this? Of course, they will be answered one by one in the following episodes . Even though I was a bit annoyed because it felt like I wasn't watching an Indonesian soap opera , the antagonist always won and the protagonist was caught and then got away, then got caught (again), got away (again), got caught (again), and just didn't stop .
But Tae San isn't fighting alone, right ? He is assisted by Jae Kyung (played by Kim So Yeon), a prosecutor who actually has a personal mission to take revenge on Moon Il Seok for the death of his father.

OK , I want to do a spoiler, actually it's in the open ending category because director-nim didn't make In Hye happen with Tae San or Seung Woo. Tae San could actually be Soo Jin's father , I think it would be a sweet ending.
